2006 Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec

The temperature hovered just above freezing, producing a rainy mist for much of the morning and just a touch of anxiety as we crossed this ‘frozen’ lake. Just after this photograph was taken the temp dropped and the rain turned to thick, heavy snow. By late night the thermometer was reading -6 F.
